I steal bread crusts from a cutting machine at my school and feed local birds with it at recess, but the problem is that they are much wary of me and won't fly down and acktually eat it when I'm standing there.
How do I get them to eat it while I'm there?
 
maybe dont do that
its better for them to be afraid of humans
 
Be /calm/ and eventually one will test the waters, do nothing to try and interact it and more birds will come then you can start doing movements/try to feed after trust. If they are too pussy and not smart birds like crows there is probably nothing you can do to make them come down when you are/stay when you come.

Just give them food for a while then maybe they'll think youre actually not that dangerous and approach you.
 
Don't do sudden movements. Also don't be a pig cause it makes birds angry or however the pun goes
 
I still feed birds, near my house every time I go outside I toss a bunch of nuts and raisin mix to them, I hope maybe in a few months they will like me enough to eat stuff when I'm around and tossing it

Birds aren't meant to be pets or dependent on humans. Also feeding them crumbs is... le bad.
