Im kinda ashamed to admit this but that shame didnt fix the problem. Its not even the gameplay im obsessed with but rather the lore of it and to drop the secrecy that game is skyrim. The thing im most obsessed over is the fact that the whole civil war thing is the purest of pure allegories of our modern world with the stormcloaks being le keyed chud moralfags and the imperials as pedocommietroon libtard cucks meanwhile the high elves starring as the jews.

aquires better taste and start playing the true rpg classics like fallout, arcanum, gothic, and jagged alliance. you might still be obsessed but at least you VILL be a cultured obsessed one.

the most you can do is limit your time on the game, e.g only allow yourself an hour or two a day. but it’s mainly about self restraint. it’s not an issue if you’re thinking about it alot, but if you hate that it’s always on your mind try and replace it with a different hobby.
it’s all self restraint no one can really force you away

skyrims civil war is the blandest and most tacked on faction conflict in any game ever, both sides quests are linear slop that play the exact same and has 0 impact on the world or you
even troon vegas has a more interesting conflict (even doe it's just cliche le good inefficient democracy vs le bad efficient authoritarianism) and quests influencing it

Acquire a skill, and become obsessed with the skill instead. Preferably a skill that you enjoy and normgroids find cool.
