Sharty and kiwifarms simply have a moral framework nowdays and don't want things like joking about (for example) violent pedophiles, because it desensitizes people to it (there are some more reasons to it). I don't think irionypoisoning everything is proper or even funny to do so.
I think a lot of spawned as a reaction to troons being predators and the fact that you can get banned from mainstream sites for preaching even surface Christian morality. Much can be said on this topic, but I am not your dad to help you develop properly, and I am not trying to do the reddit passive-aggressive thing of "uhh who hurt you" or whatever, but really, you gotta maintain culture and morals in a group to maintain it, otherwise you get the current west. Fair enough, but that wasn't being discussed at all, at least not last time I saw the thread. Last time I visited it, it was about what it means to be edgy and safe edgy and I get agitated when I leave what I thought to be an insightful post, only to find it gone with the rest if the thread when I go back to marvel at my eloquence (as one does, of course)
