Personally i don't think the FPE fandom is THAT competitive, and you have an extensive list of original characters, but i understand what you are saying anyway, it's good to know your limits.

Funny enough, this is the exact same case with a good chunk of FPE's original characters! They are just background characters!

And thats why the FPE fandom has decided to give these background characters value by characterizing them (portraying Ruby as Riley's caretaker, shipping Mister Demi and Miss Sasha, ECT...).
The same can be done with your OC's, if you don't characterize them then they lose their relevance.

Albeit my characters are more memorable and don't look all the same.
Compare it with the other guy's I don't remember his name he had a ton of overlycomplicated OCs and it pretty made it impossible to guess who was who since they all looked the same.
