Not really. What's the difference between a nuke from his time and any regular bombing run. You'd need air superiority to drop them anyways, and if you had that you could do as many bombing runs needed to destroy a city.
Fair point, I suppose that's what they developed ICBMs for

One modern thermonuclear device can be launched from anywhere on a planet and take out millions with one warhead as opposed to conventional bombs, remember the last time there was total war against big countries missiles didn't exist yet (besides some testing by the Germans).

DonutHole very clearly specified that he was talking about atom bombs from Mao's time, and in that case what he's saying is very true.

what's wrong with the doomsday clock?
Originally it was supposed to show how close humanity was to the world ending because of nuclear war, however at some point they decided to include climate collapse bullshit as well, meaning that we are currently the closest we have ever been to the end of the world, ev&oe the world is much calmer now than it was at pretty much any point during the cold war. The doomsday clock is reddit soy bullshit.

Unrelated, but it's kinda shocking how Dubai managed to turn into a world-famous city in like 20 years. I know it's from excessive amounts of oil money, but still. Started out as a fishing town and now it's... well... Dubai

Yeah. There's a lot you can do if you produce a ton of the fuel the world runs on.
