i do need some genuinely cool decoration ideas though but not anything gay like LED lights or some shit. my rooms have always been so bland for so long and i wanna change that and make my room look as if it expresses me in some way but idk how to do so without tarnishing it with a bunch of consumerist products which is why i thought about jokingly putting up korean war posters for irony purposes or maybe getting something as simple as a united kingdom flag or something, or get a nazi flag and then put that up next to an israel flag.

though those are all shite ideas and tbh i agree that flags belong outside and not in your shitty room. but i still want it to look cool and not like completely just white and bare.

Furniture is the most natural decoration, and the best for giving room character. I like old furniture because people used to make it very decorated, with engravings and details. If you don't want to hang art you can always put up some pictures of yourself or family. I have a picture of me when I was a baby looking completely chuddy. Besides I'd say the whole "expressing myself through X" thing is overall bullshit. I think it's sufficient for a person to express themselves through actions or speech, more so than expression through tattoos, silly haircuts, Tshirts, jewelry, funkopops, collecting and displaying random shit etc. I think this type of desire is evident of someone being unremarkable. I just think going through life with the need to go out of your way to "express yourself" is goofy
