Do you ever have dreams inside dreams

During a dream, I thought I might be dreaming so I pinched myself, but nothing happened so I didn’t realize I was dreaming. But then later I did realize I was dreaming.
But then later I woke up and realized I was dreaming of having a dream.
I feel retarded whenever this happens

That happened to me a few days ago, I'm pretty sure I woke up 2-3 times in a dream before I actually woke up. It's disorienting to say the least.
