I have no idea how Ukrainian men are going to cope after the war is over. Their president is an actual fag who looks like a bum, is hording the money instead of redistributing for military aide and supplies, he's also not going to be leaving office anytime soon and is "postponing" elections because he's a dick.
So tons of families have lost fathers, brothers, nephews, and uncles as a result of the war, some may have had multiple family members die in action. Not to mention the money they're actually going to need in order to rebuild all that was destroyed, so they've consistently bled resources unnecessarily throughout the past three years, they're just going to have to reboot society in that state because they can't just pick up where they left off before the war.
To rub salt into the wound, for all that they have done to perserve their country they're probably going to be stripped of their honor since they didn't "outright win the war", it's just going to be a repeat of Vietnam for these poor souls overseas.
Also so many of them have lost limbs, have been burnt to a crisp, among other horrors as a result of drone strikes and other modern artillery being used in this war, and it's not like the government is probably going to be paying their bills and if they do they're not going to be getting the full compensation.

So their women have left them for greener pastures, and likely aren't returning, their devil incarnate president isn't resigning because he's a power hungry control freak, they're going to be considered losers for not outright winning the war and yet in the same token they're going to be the ones who have to rebuild society from the ground up when they come home, they've been hurt beyond repair both physically and mentally. So alcoholism and drug addiction is likely going to rise within the next couple of years and into the next decade because of those who just couldn't handle it.
While those of whom who turned their head away from addiction are going to rise the highest, especially if they ever decide to run for office and gain a seat in the government.

I would be extremely angry, bitter and resentful if I were a Ukrainian veteran.

I have a feeling that they're going to give zelenski the Gaddafi or Ceucescu treatment as soon as he's ousted from power.
