There was a hashtag on Turkish xitter where people were showing the most vile stuff seen on discord and demanding for the government to shut it down. It's not only due to muh women, there was just too much pressure on social media regarding a lot of topics, from pedophilia to zoophilia to lgbt propaganda etc.

It's actually the opposite. A banned platform is a platform over which the government no longer has any legal jurisdiction. If Turkey had forced Discord to ban users who post things the government doesn't like, then yes, that would be invasive.

They tried this. But as far as I am aware, Discord basically refused to share the info with Turkish law enforcement as they were trying to track down certain people. At that point they are openly breaking the law and there's no choice other than banning the app. This is the response to the common "but pedos are everywhere, why don't you ban everything then?" argument.

TSMT. I still think it's good for the wider public to know that 'der Cord is a genuinely dangerous place filled with tranny pedophiles but banning these types of platforms doesn't actively affect anyone's lives (except for a few NEETs but they don't contribute to society anyway so who cares)
