For example, when I accidentally broke my 3DS (dropped it, ended up splitting it in half) my mom let me destroy what was left of it with a mallet in the garage. Or one time I got a new phone and I put my old one (was cracked) in the sink while it was on.
I liked it because it let me take my anger out on shit in a fun way. When I got done I'd pick up all the pieces and look up what the parts inside did, like the Snapdragon 425 or some hynix RAM chip. The best time was when my dad gave me a sledgehammer and let me destroy the old desktop in the backyard.
It was wasteful but fun.
