/bsg/ -Bible Study Verses General.

One of my favorite sections of Paul's writings, simply because it's advice that really displays how great and happy a holy marriage can be. Ephesians 5:25-28, Young's Literal Translation
[To] the husbands! Love your own wives, as also the Christ did love the assembly, and did give himself for it, that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with the bathing of the water in the saying, that he might present it to himself the assembly in glory, not having spot or wrinkle, or any of such things, but that it may be holy and unblemished; so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife -- himself he doth love.
The Pauline Epistles are some of the greatest texts ever written in the history of human literature, alongside many other great writings that are included in the Bible. As God redeemed Paul's soul, so too did He bless his mind with an unmatched theological genius.

This thread had some good potential, I'll bump it for the sake that there could be further Bible discussion here.

What's also humorous is that a bunch of these are laws made just for the Israelites during their trials and times before Christ, so if anything, this image might as well be attacking the Jews and the Tanakh for these commands in addition to us. Strange how often you see atheists attack either Islam or Christianity, yet it's so uncommon to see a direct attack on Judaism in comparison.

Because nobody is Jewish these days

There's a whole nation-state dedicated to them that has especially really been in the global news since October, so I'd imagine we'd be hearing more atheistic attacks against them by now, since they're certainly in the news and you see all these colleges (which I'd imagine have a good number of atheist students) with the protests against the Zionists, for example.

They use their religion as a political tool, they hardly ever talk about it. The large Zionist Christian population in America eats it all up. New York Jews are more Jewish than they are, geg. I don't want to defend atheists, however, it makes sense that they target Islam and Christianity, considering those two religions are far more popular than Judaism is.

Guys give me Bible verses contradicting the "God-given rights to life, liberty, and property/pursuit of happiness" that cuckservatives gush about so much
I can think of a few

Life:
Any time God kills heathen or sinners

Liberty:
"Your life belongs to God, not yourself"

Property:
That year of jubilee thing where property returns to its original owners because "The land belongs to God, not you"

Pursuit of happiness:
When God calls Jonah to convert the Ninevites and he runs away from God

Tangentially related, Proverbs 11:11 BTFO's the First Amendment and free speech.
"By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked."

The Second Epistle of Peter is such a beautifully-thorough piece of writing. I highly recommend reading it in whole today if any of you have yet to do so. An excerpt:
>But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

The Enlightenment was 100% against organized religion (except judaism.)
