BORDERLANDS 1 SUCKS!!!

I played the entire series besides 1, and I really like 2 and The Pre Sequel and 3 was alright I guess but 1 is so rough around the edges I don't know how there are faggots out there who call it their favorite in the series, it barely has a plot, which may be a good thing for a Borderlands game but its just tied together with a loose thread and the guns are so bad compared to what they improved upon in 2, the only good part of the guns is that S&S Munitions still exists but other than that its shit. All of the guns feel same-y, Tediores don't even explode when reloaded and Torgues don't explode. It is very apprent they didn't know what the series wanted to be yet because it suffers from the hardest "first game syndrome" out of any series.

Maybe I should make this a general thread but for now its getting its own thread, Borderlands 1 is just so inferior to what came after it in most departments. The skill trees are shallow and the level curves are all out of whack too. I like playing as brick but his melee combat is basic as all hell with not many kill skills to shakeup his gameplay (only 4 in all three of his trees). The guns also like to drop really underleveled so either you get real acquainted with the hyperion new-u station or grind for better loot, its just quite annoying and makes me wanna replay 2 again.

i remember when i was in like fourth grade my friend called me over to play borderlands 2 on his pc. Back then, we thought that handsome jack raping your ears for half an hour straight with his story about buying a unicorn that shits diamonds (or whatever i dont remember) was peak humor. Oh we were laughing our asses off so hard, his mom decided to check his room while we were playing. Poor bastard got grounded for the rest of the week.m

Handsome Jack is actually a compelling villain even if he only toys with you up to control core angel, the pre-sequel expands on his character and makes you feel sympathy for the megalomaniac and 2k Australia did a pretty good job fleshing him out even if they didn't really get to finish the story all the way. Honestly it's worth playing TPS its just a gemerald of an experience even if it has too many lesbians.

2 was the first game in the series I played, it is the gold standard for all things Borderlands so I gotta compare it to its successor, and my conclusion is that there's no reason to go back to the original because every idea brought up in it was improved upon in the sequel. I'm still gonna finish the game but everything makes me think about how 2 was better.

tsmt, I beat 1 and basically the only thing I remember about is that if you enter a duel with a team mate, jump on their head and then stay on there while downed until you revive you'll get fused to their head.
