at what point do i start becoming a monk

never heard of someone who turned his life around? Ain't an expression for nothing
ever heard of someone attempting to and then nothing happens and they wasted all of that time for absolutely nothing, id rather become a monk

No doubt there's failures, doesn't mean there isn't success to contrast that, and doesn't mean it's not worth an attempt. You say attempting to improve your situation would be a waste of time, how could reveling in your current situation be less wasteful?
Do what you want, I just don't see the reasoning

you can tell how the rest of your life will go at a young age
You remind me of some idiotic 15 year old who posted on inkwell forums. Stop wasting your time on doom and gloom ideologies and just do your best. Doesn't mean I'm telling you to reject some harsh realities but laying down and rotting is not the answer to any of that.

Don't become a monk because you think there's no possibility of you ever getting a woman. Become a monk only if you want to grow closer to God.

source? you can't die from solitude
