As a Vietnamese, I fully agree with the US's involvement in Vietnam.

FAGGOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUEER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!
It was to stop communism from infecting all of Vietnam. The only wrong thing the US did in the war was pull out in 1975. This let the northern communist rats to invade and conquer the south. You might ask, what about Mỹ Lai and all the other massacres? Well, first of all, as we know, communism is an ontological evil and nothing we do to stop it is unjustified. Second of all, almost all the massacres happened in rural villages in the mountainous central highlands, where the population is mostly made up of barbarian, unassimilated tribes, like the Jarai and Rade, so most of the ones that were killed were not ethnic Việt.

This seems like a pretty common take for a lot of Vietnamese-Americans, I have a hapa friend (Viet-German) and I remember him getting pretty ticked when another friend of mine said the war was a dumb idea in a GC

Most commiepedotroon leftists believed America was doing a heckin’ colonialism [doctos] even doe America had no interest in Old World colonialism and fully supported nationalist independence of Vietnam, as did most South Vietnamese civilians.

I agree but this is the wrong way of looking at Mỹ Lai. Mỹ Lai was only one instance of a rogue company from the American armed forces that got rightful justice under the military code (it wasnt even south vietnamese forces). However, Communist war crimes never had reporters (except the surviving victims and their families) and thus never had any trials. Massacres at Hue, Kontum, Quang Tri and other places around South Vietnam also were horrible crimes with even more casualties. The difference is that My Lai was reported to niggerhell but communist war crimes didnt have not even one peep by those same commiepedotroons who kept screaming how le heckin evil America is.
>[REDDIT SPACE]
The VC were never going to play fair, and they always loved larping as a indigenuous revolution in the South, even though they were REALLY an armed insurgency supplied by the PAVN and Politburo of North Vietnam (i.e. not really indigenuous). They would throw bombs in villages with families still inside, rape women and loot ancient cities that they could get their hands on. They were by all means, huge terrorists. The PAVN wore uniforms but the VC didnt. Tells you a lot about the dignity of that organization.

The only reason for American involvement in Vietnam was to create a foothold for further political or even military expansion into China. This is why after the American withdrawal from Vietnam “Communist” China quickly finished the cultural revolution and embraced capitalism.
