Sharty Are Holiday Events Cancer?

13 Days of Halloween.
October 31 (Halloween): Team Human vs. Team Zombie.
November 1: Team Ghost vs. Team Vampire. (Or Team Human vs. Team Vampire. This is really autistic anyways.)
November 2: /hell/ gets added. (A board where damned souls go and Satan is the janny.)
November 3: /666/ gets added. (Based on Username 666.)
November 4: An official treasure hunt type ARG begins. Or if the jannies are too busy, Team Freddy Krueger vs. Team Jason Voorhees.
November 5: Uhh, /creepypasta/ gets added.
November 6: Anybody whose post ends with 666 is declared a witch and gets banned for 1 day. GEG.
November 7: Admin Thrembo warns of November 13.
November 8: /groundhog/ gets added which is a board with the same post saying it's Groundhog Day.
November 9: A contest where whoever makes the creepiest soyjak or Sharty creepypasta wins and becomes a janny of /hell/.
November 10: The website starts acting like it's glitchinhg ans there's an announcement in Zalgo text. A countdown to November 13 begins. A new board gets added called /error/ which is just a board that looks very glitchy.
November 11: /psychic/ gets added where a psychic predicts Admin 6's Sharty.
November 12: Froot leaves just simply saying "Goodbye."
November 13: Admin 6 controls the Sharty now until Admin Thrembo stops him.
GEM DO THIS

events are usually gemmy because its a break from the status quo
the only truly coally seasonal event i remember was last year's christmas event
1 month of having the christmas wordfilters on. 1 month. 1. fucking. month. and those weren't mild filters either, those were the ones that broadly target even random shit within larger words and can make text incomprehensible if you aren't careful and forget to throw in similar looking unicode characters to filter evade what the fuckkk. i didn't use the sharty much during that time i remember, i do NOT want a repeat of the christmas event, a joke can only be dragged out for so long before it causes people to start considering splintercucking as a valid option

Do you remember the coaly event of Team Winter vs. Team Summer?

ummmmm that was yesterday wasn't it? it wasn't coal though, but it wasn't a gem either. it kind of had nothingburger properties to me aside from the one wordfilter but enabling namefagging was funny since it made people seethe

Would you like a Talk Like a Pirate Day event?

Forced brim, just an excuse to bot the website to increase the pph KEK.

I think they can be fun if executed correctly. The summer event was gemmy because it was the first time team wars were introduced and also lasted for a while but not being annoying. I hope Talk Like a Pirate Day event and Halloween event will be the same. But events like the previous one sucked because namefaggotry was turned on so Discordians just used it to turn /soy/ into their circle jerk.
obsessing about namefags on the namefags site

>I hate having fuuuuunnnn, I would rather have ppl blogpost on /soy/ all day

They were more fun when they were special. Now they happen constantly and get drawn out because nusoigibbons are dependent on cheap events and gimmicks in order to stay alive.

Yes and no.
A lot of the time they come off as desperate attempts to re-kindle the fading userbase but when done right, they can be pretty neat, even fun at times.
