For the actual ‘teens among us AP exams are coming up soon. What do you think about them? I think they’re great cause you can get college credit and maybe graduate a year or two early. They can be a bit pricy but I think they’re more than worth it (if your going to college obviously, otherwise they’re useless)

For AP, dual credit and clep tests it's good to confirm that your target college(s) will accept the credit beforehand. You can probably do the clep tests at the college while you're there too. Not sure if getting out of college earlier is that useful I know some people who got out a semester early but it was during the holocaust virus season so logistically their life couldn't move on for years afterward.

Oh yeah and if you're pretty smart and know the stuff I'm sure you'll reach the thresholds, and the tests are still cheaper than the classes. I think a lot of places set the threshold for credit in some general courses at like 3/5?

I think getting out of college will be very useful since not only do you have to pay one less year of tuition, but you will likely one more year’s worth of income since you will probably start working a year earlier

You know people in their early twenties not only know what AP exams are but could have taken them recently. I didn't take mine seriously. I remember writing the lyrics to a song on the back of one of my exams when I finished. I received 5s, so it's not like I was terrible at them, I just was unmotivated about them. I didn't use them to skip any college coarse either. I kinda regret not taking them all or redeeming them for college credits, but I don't regret it that much. At least for me AP courses improved your GPA more than honors classes, so I already was getting something out of them. Also, most people aren't going to use AP credits to skip classes in their major already for various reasons. I could have skipped requirements like English or History courses but I was on a scholarship and didn't want to waste classes. I could have just used the credits to skip the lower-level requirements, but you have so much freedom with your courses I could already pick classes that were more interesting than basic 101s classes and it's not like I wanted to skip ahead to 102s with the credits. Because I did sports in highschool it was hard to focus on exams that didn't even effect your grade.

I have a friend who was a math major who really regrets not using his credits to skip Calc 1, so I guess it depends... If you can I would.

I wish I got a higher score on my AP Physics II and AP Physics C exams so I could've skipped those courses in college, but to be fair it was during COVID and my AP Physics C teacher barely taught anything (he was dealing with his wife having a miscarriage)

I wish college board would get rid of frq’s. I hate writing. The SAT doesn’t have frq’s so I don’t know why AP’s have them. Also frq’s are probably partially why AP exams are so expensive. Plus they aren’t fair cause your grade depends on how generous your grader is.
