Today I labored extensively to try and find the original stream where teens first started trying to get Racerneem to play FNAC. I must regretfully inform you that I failed at my mission - I couldn’t find it. In fact, I think it’s lost media now. All I can do at this time is browse the ‘ki and imagine what happened. In a similar vein, I can now no longer visit many of the splinter sites, since most of them have already shut down. As such, I will never have the opportunity to visit those sites and marvel at their unique cultures. It is as though everyone stood in line waiting to time travel and explore Ancient Rome, but I ended up at the very back of the line, and when it was finally my turn the time machine broke, forever dashing my dreams of experiencing what Ancient Rome was like firsthand. Instead, I am offered only the opportunity to imagine how it was based on the biased and incomplete descriptions from my peers.
I have also missed out on the many gems that have become lost media due to borru wipes and shit. I’ve missed out on so much, and whenever I’m not using soyosphere websites I worry that I am missing out on even more. I feel as though I am in an abusive relationship, and my girlfriend (the Sharty) is threatening to leave me forever and kill my family if I don’t spend more time with her.

I'm very fortunate to have been on the Sharty since mid 2022, around when Soot left and Kuz took charge. However, I always wish I was there earlier, back when /qa/ wasn't locked and when Soot was actually running the Sharty

Just thinking of all the collective loss that happened over time as archives like logwarehouse and archive.org were shut down...
ESPECIALLY archive.org. It was very in-depth and went back 4 years... I was using it actively right as they took down support for the soyjak.party URL

I have a partial backup of archive.org's soyjak.party snapshots (extremely incomplete, nothing to get excited about) and holy shit there was so much BMT on there.
Literally half the pages my scraper downloaded ended up being BMT threads. I'm convinced that these psychos were immediately archiving their BMT threads after posting them in an attempt to get the site excluded from the wayback machine.

These days BMT is practically nonexistent on the sharty, (I can't remember the last time I saw it there ) which backs up my theory that they were posting it to get the site excluded.

Keep in mind I was using a scraper to download every single archived page, not just "https://soyjak.party/soy/" but rather "https://soyjak.party/*".
You wouldn't run into these archived threads unless you manually punched their URLs into the wayback machine or used a scraper to download every page like I was trying to.

I originally found the 'party in March of 2023, so the only thing I felt I missed out on were the Sennvenn Twitch raids, since clips of those were how I found out about the 'party in the first place.

Not worth sharing, I nuked the images folder and most the threads it downloaded are covered by the logwarehouse archive anyway.

archive.fo has a lot of stuff, even the original soyjak blog made by Soot that was presumed to be lost.

Kinda, but not really. I think the main nostalgic points are a stable owner that everyone likes (and no weekly admin changes), twitch raids, less or no unironic fags in /soy/. I wish the party never came back after the soypocalypse. Maybe someday someone will make a splinter that isn't dogshit, and doesn't have an owner that gets doxxed in under 3 months of the site being up
