Ants are amazing

Did you guys know that there are ant colonies stretching entire continents and ant wars that engulf entire cities, for example argentine ants from san diego lake hodges colony have fought again their own kin but from another colony called very large colony for many years in San-Diego, Cali. (red is lake hodges yellow is very large colony)
on the second picture is an argentine ant mega colony that they built over centuries of traveling alongside humans (this is one species of ants from one colony) last place they came to was Australia and New Zealand in early 2010's, do you like ants?

they are really clean insects in that sense, ants have garbage disposals and are amazing architects that build impressive underground cities with storage rooms and corridors

I always liked ants as a kid. We would capture butterflies and throw them into anthills and watch the ants dismantle them

They don't mean no harm, just foraging for some food, you should buy some sugar find a hive and watch them mobilize the entire hive and collect every single sugar grain in the matter of hours it's fascinating to watch

any time we saw an ant hill we would destroy it. i also remember me and the neighbor girl once placed an ant ontop a strawberry and watch the ant eat so much of the strawberry that it died
