To be fair, most of these ideas like respect and honor and such are completely arbritrary. I only believe this to be disrespectful because of cultural reasons. It is nothing concrete, it's a human construct. So I guess I'm the one who was wrong.

I used to as a kid because my abusive stepfather would not let me have pets so I had to collect taxedermy and bones and consume pokemon media to sate my obsession with creature collecting. After we finally got rid of him mom let me splurge on pets as a way for both of us to move on. Now there are live animals in pretty much every room of my house save for the bedrooms of my mom and sister. My collection of exotic fish sprawls throughout the entire house, over a hundred fish strong. I have two dogs, a cat, a lizard, a salamander, 7 chickens, a cockroach farm, multiple shrimp breeding setups and a pond full of wild fish I caught myself that I have socialized to the point of them letting me pick them up out of the water.

I can't post any pics of my animals btw because of the dogshit filesize limit... Well I can try and use snipping tool but even that doesn't really work unless I am lucky
