thread_prefix.23 Shrek 5 trailer just dropped

all of these movies except the willy wonka because it has mr bean are slop and if you watch modern cinema then idk what to say because it clearly needs a revolution.
Wonka was dogshit. It didn't have that same charm or whimsical nature of the original book and film, there's something so beautiful about it. It was as sweet as the candy depicted in Wonka's factory.

Wonka was to Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory as The Lorax (2012) was to the original Lorax short film from the 1970s and Dr. Seuss book.

And you're right, it needs a revolution or, ironically, a reboot, but in the sense of cleaning house.

i love jurassic park but i will not be watching jurassic world rebirth for this exact reason. it’s crazy that every jurassic world made a billy each while dominion was pretty much just slop.
I don't care for the jurassic park IP because it sits in this uncanny valley between the old sensational depiction of dinosaurs as evil bloodthirsty demon monsters and the modern depiction of dinosaurs being seen the way we see the animals you would see on an african safari, IE morally neutral wildlife. It keeps trying to be both of these completely opposing things which is annoying. They should just lean into one or the other.
Also it exists to sell toys and get basil's gacha money.

one thing i really want to talk about is blumhouse films, they pump out movies with 10-20 million dollar budgets which are enough to put them on the big screen but cheap enough to mass produce, these movies always flop in the reviews but always make money in the box office.

blumhouse is the modern day the asylum films.

these movies are always slop, based on topics that you would see in r/2setencehorror

I want new shit, not "based off of/an adaptation of", a sequel, a continuation, a reboot, a remake, a prequel, an interquel, a paraquel, a whatever the fuckquel. It's all fucking goyslop and they're shoving it down our fucking throats, and I'm sick and tired of it. The writer's strike was unjustified and all of those people are talentless hacks.
Not even...a squeakqual?

>Wonka instead of Willy Wonka
>Oppenheimer instead of Robert Oppenheimer
>Kuba instead of Kuba Błaszczykowski (snca alert)
I kinda dislike one noun video titles of biographic and para-biographic films.
I also think they use retrospectives too much nowadays like they put retrospectives at random and they are too long.
