ive been running servers for a long time and mc servers aren't just "mc servers"
you can just host a server with no goal or vision for no reason, you have to plan what kind of experience you want to provide to your players.
im just saying, what point is there to hosting a schlog mc server if nothing sets it apart from soycraft.

do you even know what you want or what you're doing?
if i made the server i would ask myself a lot of questions like "its going to be cracked" or "im gonna develop or use plugins for this"
i would plan out very carefully the kind of experience i would give to my players, anarchy, survival, fucking prison or factions etc, creative plots.

did you forget our entire convo about the server last week or what? i said it was gonna be cracked, i outlined what host i wanted to use and i said id use tcp shield so i dont get ddosed? i said i wanted spawn to be protected and i wanted the end dragon only to be defeated in an event that we pick the time for, i said there will be build protections for big builds ? we also talked about the factions etc and i said id look into it and you’ve already mentioned you wanted a multiverse plugin. obviously id adapt to what everyone else requests too

all i want personally is a /mvtp creative plots world using multiverse and the plotsquared plugin on 1.8.9 for building and planning builds
the plots would provide protection easily, you also may need luckperms or something like that for better permissions
you need an authme plugin to deal with cracked players logging in, also you need to prevent the mineflayer bots somehow. make it 1 acc per ip or maybe 2.
multiverse can be used to provide multiple worlds, i dont really want factions all i want personally is a survival world and a plots world

i knew what i was doing though. i got the vps hosted very shortly within the timeframe i said i was gonna make the server.
it was relatively ez.

you also need to know how many people want a mc server because a lot of people asked me for a terraria server so i think you need to host a poll
also how might players react to the server being hosted by princessparkles, etc and whether or not you should call the server sparklescraft and not the schlog miencraft server
you may need to use playit.gg to get a custom domain for $6 and this is gonna cost money too.
alternatively you will do things with a bare ip just exposed like that which can lead to ddosing. best route may be to just not care because im not gonna ddos you.

rather old plugin might i add. imo you need to host a poll, ask players what they want in a server, etc.

for me all i want is survival to play in, creative plots to plan in. redstone enabled, me build rollarcoasters for people in creativeplots etc.

idk if you’ve actually been reading what i’ve been saying but i said my budget was 10-15 per month and i already had a plan for the end dragon
i was gonna do the poll once i was ready to make one but ive been busy recently and haven’t had time to sit down and get everything in one place

yeah i’d use a plugin or id simply just ban anyone who enters the end before i say they can
it’s ok ill make the poll once im free to actually make the server and trouble shoot it etc
