ononononono tomokoimoutos what is this?

its a good read here: https://watamote.fandom.com/wiki/Tomoko_Kuroki
personally i think the more you read, the easier it is to understand and the more i relate to tomoko, when i was 12 to 13 i kind of went through similar things, not understanding puberty and i was spreading tmi about jerking off and stuff because i didn't understand and i was also autistic which made things worse and i feel like tomoko may have autistic traits, so, to me i find it relatable in the sense that the reason for watamote's existence is very much so a story about growing up as a troubled teenager going through puberty, having to learn these things and being socially ostracized.

the character is very similar to that of maya from ongezellig, yet another teenager who is socially isolated and has some weird porn tastes etc.

if you think about it, it's kinda like an anime version of the uk's "The Inbetweeners" (no its not) except in a different perspective, the perspective of a teenage pervert who's socially ostracized and hasn't grown out of it. i personally went through that kind of gooner phase when i was younger and i grew out of it thankfully, so to me, the whole idea of that show that tomoko is in, is that it's an exploration of troubled puberty youth and an exploration of those autistic tendencies that fucked me up when i was younger.

but is it something i would watch now and with a female main character? no, if anything i dont think i would watch it at all, been there, done that already, no need to be reminded. actually, i already have a version of that, it's called "Chris Chan" and hes a perfect role model of who you shouldn't be. With all of this aside, I'm not defending HWABAG or the anime, but just sharing my thoughts after reading the wiki, it reads much like something I would see on my old autism diagnosis, "grim outlook on life" and "socially anxious, afraid to leave house" etc. I am so glad I'm not like that anymore, the older you get, the easier it is to deal with I guess, or the less autistic you become.

I want to stress however that how it reads is far different to how it is in the show and I think the show is probably more perverted than reading a summary of it.
anyways heres a cool comparison geg
