In fact these facts are more often a source of shame, since to fail in good circumstances is worse than to fail in bad circumstances. The point of the post is that 1. I love my family and 2. I was born in great circumstances, and I was expounding both of these points. And the purpose of the post was to express gratitude to these facts. That's it.
