I didn’t grow up on American comics—instead, I was raised on anime and manga. Since Walt Disney’s passing, jooz have slowly corroded American comics and animation, and by the time I was born, they were completely trashed. Naturally, I turned to Japan. My first exposure was Evangelion, and after that, I was hooked, binge-watching all the classics. However, I have to say, most anime produced after 2000 is garbage, with only a few exceptions. In my search for good stories, I discovered The Mask, and it did not disappoint. Without giving away spoilers, it far surpasses the quality of the Jim Carrey movie.
