That sounds true from what I have seen of Muslim dudes. Maybe it's a weird example, but the first one that comes to mind of this is that a lot of footage from jihadist groups like ISIS of SVBIED attacks in cities of Iraq or Syria during the war specifically show the buddies of the driver lining up to hug him one last time before he heads out to explode himself.
This used to be the case in western cultures too btw. Not too long ago. Only 2 centuries.
i’d say it’s more country based than religion - like of course in islam you’re meant to be affectionate with eachother and be charitable and smile etc that’s just our normal values but you’d find an arab muslim they kiss on the cheek and pakistani muslims would be a bit less affectionate - african muslims would hug etc.
