Lack of social whiplash. Maybe you would've gotten beat up if you used the word "epic" 20 years ago but nowadays people hear that and think "Oh, he has autism. Better go easy on him."
 
I heard that the whole point of their dialect (I presume it's AAVE but it might be something else) is so that no one else except themselves understand the things said

Spergs like familarity and repetition, they likely have a vocabulary of recurrent phrases (more so than the average individual) that they commonly use and never drop unless a new word interests them so much that they just have to use it.

Oh I know these people, they're from Deviantart aren't they? those accounts that randomly just upload logos of different companies and products to their page, and then the really oldfag old fucks who upload old VHS commercials and advertisements that feature the evolution of brand and company logos or some shit like that, right? speaking of which, some of those fags on Deviantart, their pages sometimes aren't entirely dedicated to logo-posting, it might some other thing that they're deeply interested in, but they'll still upload various pictures of logos as a second interest of theirs.

Oh and about the video tapes, I might be conflating that with specific commercials that aired on specific dates, since you'll have spergs who will upload various commercials of differing advertisement styles throughout the years, or there's something of note/interest to them within the commerical they uploaded to Youtube.
