I think a neuron just shot off in the wrong one day in my head, I suppose it’s the fact that the faces are usually swapped for an animal alternative, which by extension removes the pre-existing stress that comes from trying to read facial expressions, while also keeping the rest of the body human which therefore giving a “best of all worlds” scenario to those who enjoy cute things, easy to read expressions and the perfection of the female body?
