I haven't really enjoyed Halloween since the fourth grade to be honest
It was fun in elementary school when there were a lot of kids and the houses were close enough that you could visit the entire neighborhood and have your bucket overflowing
Then I moved to the current neighborhood I live in. The kids in the neighborhood don't really hang out often and the houses are really spaced apart, so all of a sudden you were walking for twice as long only to receive half as much candy. It doesn't help that all the houses in my neighborhood are stingy fucks and usually give shit-tier candy. Eventually I resigned myself to just sitting inside and giving people candy, I'd end up having school assignments to work on anyway, it was always really awkward when some kids from my grade would come over and see me fucking sitting on my ass and working thoughever
However, there was one time I actually enjoyed trick or treating. During freshman year of high school, I was going to do my routine of just handing out candy when my friend showed up to my house by surprise with this costume made of cardboard and a 3D printed Iron Man helmet so I ended up going with him. We got fuck all candy but it didn't matter, I was just enjoying myself in the moment.
I'm pretty sure Halloween in college is a holiday where you go to parties and drink and fuck bitches, but I never did this in my past three years of college and I have no plans to do so now. I guess it'll be an experience I'll never have. Oh well.
