If you were to set up your own sharty splinter, what would it be based around?

Amendment: to keep post quality high, a one-time fee of $0.02 would be required to post. This would be payable with cryptocurrency and potentially credit/debit cards (though I would highly advise using a prepaid debit card purchased with cash). After the payment is processed, a unique key would be sent via email giving the user posting privileges (similar to the sharty's pass system).
I'd probably drop the US-Canada IP requirement to compensate.
 
i wouldn't want to make one because it would probably get bombed by cp and bait/concern trolling but if i HAD TO i'd try making something a bit more like the old sharty, i wouldn't want to make it enforced 24/7 oldfag larp but i'd want it to adhere to the oldteen ethos a bit more
i think svvt got it just right with the shemmy before he left and the new tranjans tried to move the website away from the sharty (which wouldn't be a terrible idea if the website wasn't conceived as a replacement for it)

i always thought if i were to set up a splinter, it would be based on competitive soydueling. like, hosting weekly soyduel contests, added systems to quantify who is winning in a 'duel (i guess image recognition to determine which variant is being posted and if it fits), soydueler global leaderboards, etc.
i've always thought that imageboards based on "its like heckin' nostalgic old X" or even just any standard topic are doomed to fail, because there is no novelty there and it will get stale one day. maybe the solution is to gamify the jakking experience.
