It's a much superior process to history than whatever you faggots have to say

>Uh oh, did I just see you necro a thread you liked? Looks like I have to lock it now… and ban you as well! … Because I just have to ok?!

What do you believe in then? A hegelian telelogical view of history?
There is no process to history, it's just endless struggle forever and plenty of dumb luck and chance. You faggot historians and your theories of history might as well be shamans communicating with the spirit world, except I'd trust a shaman over you guys any time of day. History is so vast that you can promote any "model of history" and find enough tidbits to make it sound plausible but it is literal voodoo witchcraft retardation at the end of the day

Saying that history happens entirely at random is kind of retarded

Doesn't happen entirely at random but movers of history are particular and cannot be expanded to the entire historical timeline. And it's not retarded when you aren't engaging in obviously motivated thinking

I don't get how you could say that what drives is history is particular because circumstances in history always years of historical context behind them and are bounded to the material conditions of the time. Even if you don't believe that humanity moves towards some absolute truth like Hegel or Marx said, i dont get how you could argue it doesnt have common factors that drive the process

Glad we cleared that up.

Main issue with discussing common factors is when people suggest that things were "bound to happen" like WWI, and what's worse is when people try and explain why something *didn't* happen. Obviously they influence the course of history but I would still say that ethnic conflict plays a bigger role in history than class conflict, and again this was common sense before WWII when anthropologists started discarding Culture History for stupid stuff

This was never common sense or a popular belief. Ethnic conflict cannot explain dialectical processes, and I don't know anyone who says history is the result of ethnic struggle. Racial categorizations exist as an incorrect analysis of the material world, it exists as an idea and that's why there's been hundreds of different racial systems that seek to explain differences between groups of people. This is unlike class .
