yes but not really in original series. to show in perspective you see all power level in dragon ball original are below 300. first enemy radits in dbz is 1200, second enemy nappa is 4000 and third enemy vegeta is 18000
with 1 year of training goku gets 30 times stronger from around 300 to 8000
in z and after that is when the power start being absurd
