It was underwhelming.
The first dive was the Corsair wreck, which was decent, except for the fact that I forgot to attach the fiber optic cable, rendering my strobe useless, meaning I couldn't take properly exposed photos. The dive was also cut short because my dad doesn't know how to conserve his air. The wreck was surprisingly small, but I should have expected that since it's an airplane.
The second dive was the crater. This dive didn't have many corals, which was disappointing, but I got a few photos in anyways. There were a lot of turtles, and we saw a shark (didn't get photos of either) and a small eel (got a photo of that).
The dive company we went with was Reef Pirates; they are a dive shop we trust and have gone with multiple times before. Their staff are nice, but because of their location, many of dive sites they go to during the summer are not that great coral-wise, as the south shore tends to be more turbid during the summer. In hindsight, I think we should have gone with Waikiki Divers, as they are closer to the dive sites with more coral.
We are going diving one more time on Wednesday, this time a shore dive at Electric Beach. Since we're not going on a boat, my brother is going to dive with us. I hope to have time for one more dive excursion after that, hopefully in Nautilus or Horseshoe Reef.
