Zoroastrianism

Lism

POOP!!!!! POOP POOP PEE!!!!
What are your thoughts on it? I think it is a great religion

Also, Zoroastrians were very privy to the darkness of Africa. Bundahishn talks about this

And they were also early anti-homosexuals.

Many people today try to slander Zoroastrianism as "christianity without the christ" but it is actually much more similar to Germanic religion. It is first of all, an ethnic religion. The Persians only really cared about proselytizing to other Aryan peoples like the Scythians and Elamites (Elamites were not actually Aryan, but the Persians thought they were for some reason. It's possible they had already been rather aryanized at this point culturally)

This is what Zoroaster looked like by the way:

The thing with zoroastrianism is that there was a period in history where it was considered the national religion and its clergy had a lot of power (similar to shiism today). During this period (mostly during the sassanid empire) the clergy would add verses to benefit themselves or the kings. For example when Cambysis II wanted to marry his sister (marrying your family wasn't allowed and it is safe to assume that incest was later added to the religion). Most of the time you can't tell what is added and what isn't.
Zoroastrianism's main problem was the clergies' corruption and also it's age but it's a still a very good religion and a lot of Iran's culture comes from the zoroastrianism days. It teached Iranians great values that separated them from the rest of the ancient world and many of them still hold up today. Though I can't recommend it as a religion to follow because of the reasons above.

Funny thing is that the muslims didn't mind zoroastrianism since it was monotheistic. Because of this Iran's culture became a mixture of the wo religions. For example we don't celebrate eid fitr as new year. Instead we still celebrate nowruz. We have a holiday during the last Wednesday of the year where we jump over bonfires and sometimes sing songs while doing so which is a heckin fire worshiper thing to do. Also during the longest night of the year, every family member comes to their parents home and eat watermelons and pomegranates (this is also a zoroastrian holiday).

I remember being taught that something something zoroaster may have been a disciple of Daniel during the exile of Israel in Persia in the babylonian captivity, and that his teachings may have been corrupted or deformed with time or however the protestant narratives go.

Don't know if that holds up in any way shape or form dough

You forgot to mention how Zoroastrianism advocates for fucking your own grand daughter and many other forms of incest.
Orientals are just like that, they're an incestuous people. Look at ancient Egypt. Even the Greeks when they went to Egypt, they became incestuous and other Greeks attacked the Ptolemies for this. Like denton said it was a later addition which Herodotus says was not a traditional Iranic custom
