That's probably the biggest reason ongezellig never could've made it, the industry is undeveloped because it simply doesn't have the potential audience. Netherlands has what, 15 million people in it or some shit? The reason America can afford to have "indie animation" is because the english speaking world numbers 1.5 billion, not counting all the eslDEITYs; It has huge potential for audience, and in turn income. So the only indie animation we can get is some pozzed globohomo garbage made by trannies in muttistan
the only other place is japan, they made some good indie stuff in the late 80s, but if it was made today it would probably just be extreme coomerbait

It's true. All the people working in the tranime industry aren't inspired by real people or history, but other tranime. Basically all these people that make tranime ONLY WATCH tranime. They don't know what real people are like and how real people act and that's why trnaime is such a repulsive medium to normal people who haven't conditioned their brain into accepting the completely unnatural interactions in tranime. It's like a fermenting effect where with each generation of tranime it gets more tranimized, like feeding the output as further input.

Yeah he did make a remark on that. He was a good writer. I recall having porco rosso on a DVD when I was young and watching it to death, still love the movie. I went on to check out some more of his work and it's good, it's not sloppy and it barely even feels like tranime as opposed to just an animated film. It's still kinda pozzed with woke doodoo like animals le good people le bad or women le strong but the good writing makes it so it isn't obnoxious
