I'm not some faggot ass political scientist but it probably boils down to internal corruption. Nothing in this country gets done anymore. There's always some scandal going on and people can't seem to shut the fuck up about political bullshit. The United States' system of government probably isn't ideal for the modern era. Right now it's like we're living under the Articles of Confederation again. Something needs to change but nothing will because even the slighest change will make people upset and it'll have to pass 20 million checks and stuff. Honestly I think every country is/will become like this because humans are humans and we weren't meant to have big faggot governments. I'm not saying "hurhurhur go uncle ted hahahaha" but a compromise between anarchy and strict rule would be neat.
