Autism who will be the messiah of the democratic party

AXNW219

Business, numbers, money, people.
after getting curbstomped and mutilated by the GOP (losing the presidency, senate, and possibly the house) its pretty clear theyre going to need to do something big if they ever want to have influence again. main issue is them being out of touch with the average american, not even just the working class but some middle-upper ones too. they prioritized minute issues like tranny rights instead of addressing the economy, and worst of all they're starting to slowly lose their main voting block (minorities).

the past few days a civil war has seemingly started brewing within the party. people are pointing fingers at each other, blaming the media, blaming latinos, almost everything besides admitting they were wrong and disconnected. the harris campaign itself is $20 million in debt thanks to excessive spending likely related to celebrity concerts (keep in mind she had raised $1 billion). people once thought of as loyalists to biden like pelosi are furious and angry because he didn't step aside earlier. all in all, they're in shambles.

in 2016 donald trump managed to completely turn the republican party upside down. before he announced his intent to run for president, it was widely believed that fucking jeb bush would be the frontrunner of the GOP. and even despite his loss (potentially debatable now) in 2020, they refused to let anyone take his place. turns out they were thinking correctly and he ended up defeating harris in a landslide because she was so incompetent.

with that all being said, who will be the trump of the democratic party? who will be the person that will take the wheel and turn them around into the fighting force they once were? will they back down on controversial issues like identity politics to appeal to a wider base of people? or will nothing happen at all and they'll just keep sinking?
im retarded

>they prioritized minute issues like tranny rights instead of addressing the economy
this is literally the gop albeit. trumps answer to the economy is: le tariffs (he doesn't even know what a tariff is)
you're probably technically right to a significant degree but most voters didn't agree with that or just didn't care. they saw high gas prices for the past 4 years, they saw immigrants causing competition in low-pay blue collar jobs, they saw le heckin prices of eggs going up at the grocery store
and while i dont think theyre completely right in believing that a trump presidency would fix the economy (the tariffs are an issue), people simply didnt have faith in kamala because they could literally blame her (and formerly biden) for a lot of it.
a lot of liberals have gotten angry and chosen to write-off those people as dumb/stupid/reactionary, but there's something more to it than that. biden won in 2020, people voted obama into office twice, it's not like what happened on the 5th was a common event. i'll be honest and say that i dont know exactly what i'm missing, but it's big.

I don't disagree that a lot of voters just don't actually care. if they truly cared about the border problem, they wouldn't have voted for a candidate that axed a bill in the senate that was designed to address it. The reason the parties have swapped around I think is quite literally just that post-covid inflation made people want a new president, there's no more sophisticated reason than that. Despite america outperforming every other country in every metric coming out of covid, things got more expensive and people don't like it. The people have voted regardless of the inflation reduction act, or the infrastructure bill, or the chips act, or any of the other things that 95% of americans (maga republicans included) would ostensibly desire being passed under BIDEN, the "incompetent geriatric", it's all memes and vibes.

and now i'm starting to wonder if a lot of the trump voters weren't able to see the bigger picture beyond just the "us against them" thing and his admittedly too bold promises that will likely never materialize at all (not even as cucked watered-down bipartisan crap). these next four years are going to be a lot more shaky than i had previously thought.
now i'm trying to understand why the democrats fumbled this shit so hard, i mean tbf they probably still would've lost no matter what, but the fact they were willing to gamble on another female candidate (or if she really was the only viable option) does make me question their competency. biden won because he was a safe white male and people were instead angry at trump's response to the pandemic.
i dont know where im going with this though, ive never really seen a political sphere in shambles like this before.

I have no idea but I think Democrats win when they go with someone who is charismatic. Hillary wasn't, Kamala wasn't.

I think a way more interesting question is who will be running for Republicans in 2028. Certainly not the current Trump. Maybe another?

i think you have the right idea but what they especially need is someone like trump in that they can be a billionaire and still manage to win over rural farmers and uneducated people by actually appealing to them in a way that acknowledges and (i hate this word) validates their frustrations while still appealing to the dirt poor and filthy rich
i dont even know if thats possible though

Right but I think Republicans will always have the farmer vote. Bernie appeals more to the common man for Democrats but nobody wants a socialist in America so he'd never get the farmer vote if you know what I mean.

by the way, i believe kamala royally fucked up even with some of her economic proposals ($25,000 for first-time home buyers for one) because she refused to admit that there were SOME faults in biden's economy. she just pretended everything was fine when it wasnt for everyone

vance maybe, he's still relatively young. but i heard someone say on plebbit that the first female president will be republican and tbh they might be right lmao

thats exactly what my best friend said in response to this mess. i think bernie is a nutjob in his own way but after the election he was willing to admit that the democrats ignored the working class at least somehow.
i dont mean they completely ignored it, again harris had plans... but she pretended biden's economy was absolutely perfect and was adamant in defending it

First female president being Republican would be pretty cool but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump tried to start some political dynasty thing. I think Vance is vying to get in for 2028 though, yeah.

MADAM
PRESIDENT

no one is voting for a woman blud.
ill admit that ill never vote for a woman (at least for the presidency) but to me a female would only have a way to succeed in the Republican party simply because they'd ironically brush aside her gender. in 2016 the democrats based a lot of stuff off of hillary being a woman, and they lost. they tried it again (on a woman arguably even less likeable) and they lost. they're too eager to get a woman in the white house and theyll brush aside her policies (or lack thereof) because shes XX

I don't know if you can fault them for "fumbling" when a third of the country thinks the 2020 election was fraudulent. The issue is that maganiggers have infected the republican party and now there's no coherent political debate over policy. So enjoy four more years of deficit spending, tax cuts, and simping for foreign despots.
