Discussion What's the best post-apocalyptic game franchise of all time and why Metro series might be it?

If it's a Trannie, you chud it up
Let's start with the basics on what will make a post-apocalyptic game great:

-The world building (since what's the point on not talking about what happened after a fucking apocalypse?)

-Type of enemies (human factions, monsters, sci-fi stuff)

-Main character that doesnt come from a COD game and you can totally relate to.

-The gameplay which needs to feel like you ARE on a world where everything fucked up so you have to use and hoard anything useful.

-Liberty of choices since its a lawless world now aside of some specific places.

-Crudeness and zero sugarcoating (suffering, horrible shit happening everytime, desolate places and events that you cannot have a choice on changing)

basically all those points will make a post-apocalyptic game become a bone chilling and blood curling GEMMIE which the Metro franchise specially dives into (also the main character is not an apathetic nigger that losses all hope and wants to kill himself and also isnt overpowered as fuck and inmortal)

Fallout because Russian post-apocalypse is boring because Russia already looks like that

>inb4 california and DC already look like that too, ok fine DC does but California was nice in the 90s
