Schizo Waking up extremely early

Have you ever tried it? And by "early" I mean 4-5 AM, not any of that punk-ass 7 AM shit.
When I was still in high school I'd sometimes get up at exactly 4 AM, shitpost for a bit, shower at 4:30, and then play Microsoft Flight Simulator until I had to leave at 7:30. It was very rewarding but also very taxing on my body and I wasn't able to do it for more than two days in a row.

Now that I'm done with school and am taking a bit of time off, I don't have to worry about getting up early anymore. Yet I still set my phone's alarm for 7 AM just so I can spend some time watching TV with my mom before she leaves for work. This works pretty well, though I'm considering setting my alarm for 5 AM now. My least favorite part of the day is seeing the sun set and watching it get dark, it makes me sad. I'm just a big fan of sipping coffee while it's quiet and knowing I have the whole day ahead of me.

Anyway, my main question here is this: do you believe waking up extremely early is healthy and good for your well-being? Some people say the human body isn't meant to do that, and others say it builds discipline. Just wondering what you guys think.

I wake up at five AM every weekday for school, but I've never done it earlier than that. Still, I'd say it's better for you. God didn't make the night for us to vividly see in, nor the day for us to slumber in with great comfort. We need a time to sleep, and the best time is when it is dark, so that you may sleep with your eyes at peace and wake up as the Sun is first showing its light again.

Sometimes I skip going to sleep and can still go through two days without sleeping, no coffee, only a bit of tea usually. But this happens only if I have something planned that I feel very anxious of possibly missing. Just me acting strange...

But waking up very early without getting much sleep is always a horrible idea and it'll make you feel absolutely shit for the whole day. Would not recommend.

I go to sleep at 2 or 3 and wake up at 0445--0515 to the sound of knocking on my door. On weekends Bombay I wake up naturally at noon.

I guess it depends on genes, what your job is and what kind of person you are.

I've done this for most days of the week for several months now.

Willpower wise I haven't noticed any improvements. They do say that if you go to bed earlier you sleep better "the hours before midnight count double" but I don't go to bed consistently early enough to appreciate any such advantage. I mention this because I do associate better quality sleep with more willpower- although I think this is better understood as clarity of thought. I find that even if I don't feel tired I should test to see if I need to nap, because it can help me focus afterwards.

I am getting up early for work, so it isn't a conscious mental effort- it is an automatic process because I don't think of that sort of responsibility as something I have an option to shrug. This might cause different results from other people trying this.

I wake up at 6:30 and go to bed at 8. My day is pretty much over by 4 so I have remaining 4 hours to do whatever I want, even then, I have more free time in the middle of the day in between classes.
