Why are you still saying this? Is it some trend? Hong Kong was already freed from British imperialism by the people’s republic of China

no it isn’t? it’s the only place in china thats safe for me to visit in my opinion. wish kowloon walled city was still there.Hong Kong is kind of useless
Wasn't that place just a huge den of gang violence, poverty, and prostitution? Why should it have remained there?no it isn’t? it’s the only place in china thats safe for me to visit in my opinion. wish kowloon walled city was still there.
it’s inherently a beautiful prototype of arcology. most people don’t see it that way, but it’s only been one of 2 successful arcological attempts, and both of these attempts never even tried to make it. that’s why when these big technological nations try to construct these giant buildings, most of them fail. have you heard of The Line by Saudi Arabia? You probably haven’t heard of what became of it, and only when they announced the entire thing. The entire plan was touted by the Saudi government to be a grand length of 170 kilometers, and able to house over 9 million people. This has been scaled back, and now 1.5 miles are planned, being able to house 300 thousand people. This is not even halfway done.Wasn't that place just a huge den of gang violence, poverty, and prostitution? Why should it have remained there?

When these nations try to build these grand buildings that they envision, they mostly fail. But when it comes naturally, like the Kowloon Walled City and the Belgich Towers Condominium. It is successful. Kowloon was only demolished because it was a stain on Hong-Kongs supposed “futuristic” nature. The city ran pretty much on its own, I’m not trying to change your mind here, but despite most of the populace living in squalor, and the city being a giant fire hazard, they had a community, and a functional postal system. If the Hong Kong government allowed its existence, or renovated the place, it would’ve, should’ve, could’ve, been the greatest architectural structure on this earth.

Interesting. I guess, from an architectural perspective, it was pretty unique. Thank you for the explanation.it’s inherently a beautiful prototype of arcology. most people don’t see it that way, but it’s only been one of 2 successful arcological attempts, and both of these attempts never even tried to make it. that’s why when these big technological nations try to construct these giant buildings, most of them fail. have you heard of The Line by Saudi Arabia?
