The Branch Davidians weren't Christians, either. They were quite far from anything scriptural whatsoever, literally a heresy of a blaspheming heresy, the Seventh-Day Adventists. No one was good in that situation besides the only victims, who were the innocent folk misguided by the heresies they were entrapped in, and the burning building that they were also, literally, entrapped in (God forgive them and save their souls, dearest Lord of gracious will). McVeigh certainly also had some right ideas, but was misguided in conducting them in a glorious manner, obviously (it isn't a very good thing to explode buildings full of people, not sure I need to elaborate further), and also, what-do-you-know, he had ties to a different heresy, a Christian Identity enclave called Elohim City in rural Oklahoma.

The seventh day Adventists are interesting in how rebellious they are as part of doctrine. Tragic protestant schisms and cults aside, this is based. Go to pew research for political leanings by religion and see how they mog everyone else with nonpartisan charisma. You have to imagine that for a religion to be real it has to be a more central determiner of it's adherents stance than any politician or party leadership. There may be religions that just naturally align democrat/republican/centrist, but we can't tell just from surveys. A lot of these apocalyptic christianities are pseudo-communist in that they believe they get to have good stuff once all the rich heathens get what is coming to them, not sure if that applies to seventh day or just Jeho Witnesses.
