There are local elections

And I don't fricking know who I should voote.
Probably nothing vil change if current city president is changed. She did one thing that is generally perceived to be good - she made buses free (even doe I don't use them).
Not to mention electing some chuds to the county or province councils. I don't even know what are they doing.

There were local elections in Turkey three days ago. I just voted for whoever was most islamist, no other choice.

I don't give a fuck. This kemalist system is what rejected me, let it burn to the ground. Also the party I voted for was YRP (which performed extremely well for a newly founded party). AKP are the ones who flooded the country with immigrants, the party I voted for is more hardcore in its islamist stance but not pro-immigration. They are also pro-russia and hate the EU. They won two cities.

What is the main goal of the Islamists in Turkey? Neo-Ottoman State? I only know that the Kemalists want to join the EU.

The islamists were divided into two separate categories during the late 1990's. Soft islamists and hardcore islamists, the soft ones won this 'race' and got in power in 2002. They are supposedly very conservative but it's a bit of a hoax, because they rather try to appeal to everyone and at times even embrace western liberal ideas, ie there was an instance of Erdoğan saying Islam "needs to be updated" during a women's day event, which caused massive outrage among Turkish muslims.

After more than two decades of soft islamist rule, the cracks are starting to show. The YRP rose significantly with the fanatical backing of its hardcore religious voter base and stole a lot of votes from AKP (soft islamists). The main goal would be sharia (this is basically an open secret that everyone knows, but no one outright speaks out) but it's extremely unrealistic for Turkey and I don't see it happening anytime soon. Maybe in 50 years or something if Turkey keeps getting more and more radicalized. This election gave the advantage to YRP over AKP, so the era of fence sitting in Turkey is over.

well, i think it's possible, in Russia and Central Asia many muslim nations are slowly drifting into traditionalism, it's entirely possible that the Islamists could enact stricter pro-Islamic laws in Turkey in the future. In Russia, the only thing that stops Caucasians or Tatars from islamism is that their youth are in constant cultural contact with Russian youth and often adopt the european view on societal morality.
