The radical left and radical right parties are very close together in terms of support, what does this mean for them?

Which of these parties are the extreme ones? Are these radical parties on the level of Communists and Fascists or is it some sort of exaggeration?

I'm not greatly familiar with French politics, but from what I have read, National Rally (RN on the chart) is a nationalist party, its main focuses being the restriction of immigration and traditional rightist policymaking. The New Popular Front (NFP on the chart) is a broad leftist coalition, including environmentalists, commies, and socialists.

NFP and RN
also I'm not sure because I'm not french, that's for @Nihilma to elaborate on.

What is a reality though is that if the right wins then nothing will ever happen because nothing ever does, just like when the italians elected Meloni. Italy still gets their steady influx of BBC delivered to them and Ukraine still gets their billion dollar bills sent to them to defend heckin democratic european values or something.
I expect the far left to shake things up at least, or maybe not. They should at least recognize palestine or something

If the RN passes, nothing will likely ever happen.
If Reconquête does pass, which is the party of Eric Zemmour, things will most likly change because he is a berber slut for dat BWC.
Jokes apart though nothing will change.
Unless somehow there's a Hitler in the RN who uses the party just to get elected, which would be funny but will not happen because the prime minister isn't in charge of the armies, the president is.

What about NFP?

Lefties won the election with a plurality. The liberals and Leftists used an electoral alliance to guarantee the least amount of seats would go to the Rightists as possible. Basically, France operates under a 2 round electoral system. With parties that have low amount of votes being eliminated when the region moves on to the 2nd round. The leftists and liberals agreed that whoever got 3rd place in any given region would drop out of the race to ensure the vote would not get split. 24 seats left, but they aren't enough to make a difference.

Also the funny part is that, defying polls, Macron still eked out enough victories to get 2nd place. Trust the plan of Jvpiter.
