i have a 13 right now that i got in 2022 around the time the 14 was about to come out, i was thinking of getting a 16 but i think i might just wait until it goes down a bit or until some new SE comes out

I have an iPhone XR and it still works perfectly fine, you don't need to upgrade a 13.
