I remember back when Froot fucked up reaction scores, everyone praised him for it, it was hilarious. We had reaction score economy generals, people were trading reaction score and updooting eachother. Having negative 2.147 billion or positive 2.147 billion was no big deal, everyone took it as a joke, your heard earned reactarino score could be removed in like 10 seconds and gained back in 10 seconds. Nobody was obsessed with it, it was all fun and games. But now, everyone is obsessed with it. This website runs on a constant drama fixation and the users here have a really bad sense of ego to the point where it's starting to get toxic. People feel as if they are entitled to be able to spam in certain threads or posts just because they personally deem it to be bad and they also feel entitled to make a silly number on someone's profile go down.

If you were, say, to do the same to them in retaliation, then they get all pissy and everyone gets angry. It turns into literal caveman drama and to make matters worse, jannies practically always play favourites. People got mad at me for reporting and fixing linespam towers the first time and now they're mad at me because I removed their shitty toy again, this time not even on purpose.

The way I see it is that this website isn't exactly heading down a good route, people are starting to care a lot about the wrong things, it's best if you just keep reaction score removed before this devolves further into constant immaturity. People should learn to respect eachother and stop infighting. But for some reason schloggers are starting to crave internal drama. I feel like what people said about namefag drama is kind of true, so we need to try and do our best to mitigate that. We're supposed to be a community, so why are we constantly fighting eachother? Having reaction score only makes us fight against ourselves.

I'm not aware but honestly it's probably no coincidence, the reaction score system is only making the community worse in my opinion. We make fun of reddit and yet we are reddit. We make fun of Discord and yet we are discord and it's getting to the point where 99% of the users here just also use Discord anyways, the morals of this site have been flushed down the toilet.

If it is to be implemented then it has to be fair. People claim it's not too deep or whatever, but then the jannies take away my ability to even react to posts at all, I can't react positively or negatively and I have to reply to messages with images now geg. It's clear to me that the system is designed to upset people and give certain people a sense of superiority, but most importantly, it upsets the staff and moderation of the site.

If we keep reaction score, this site will just turn into one big discord reddit circle jerk where the top cord roles get special boy treatment, even if they do something retarded for like the 5th time that week. Poor Hagon's practically doing all he can to try and get perma banned and it's not working.

I really do not consider it to be a part of the site's identity. We should limit these external factors and just focus on the quality of posts and engaging in actual discussions instead of allowing shitflinging to occur constantly. We're a forum and we should be taking things a bit more seriously instead of allowing it to devolve into "I don't like you, I'm now going to spend 2 hours of my life clicking the negative button on all of your posts" You'd be doing everyone a favour if you got rid of that alltogether.

To see people be happy that reaction score is gone, to then being sad so much so that they want it back, just to engage in more shitflinging and drama. Something's gone wrong.

There really shouldn't be any contest or leaderboards for these kinds of things at all. Whoever's idea it was to add leaderboards to a social site is retarded. It doesn't even effect the quality of posts in any fucking way.
