The actual heir to rome
Greekcucks and turkroaches lost, habsburgBVLLS vvon

Eh, I'm pretty sure it was still an empire, even if we can't agree that it was truly holy or an inheritor of Rome's legacy.
I was just saying the line, someone had to, but Idk if I even consider it an empire, it was just a confederacy of a million little feudal states. Not as organized as other empires throughout history so I never counted it, albiet I'm no German history expert.

The most important medieval power that most people don't know about. The Thirty Years war and the Protestant Reformation basically killed whatever power the emperor had within the HRE or something
since when are you moderator

Neither Roman, nor holy, nor an empire. Truly German excellence on display.
Nº1: True, not Roman. Inherited by the Germanics and was given the wrong name by the Catholic Church.
Nº2: Sort of wrong. It was officially considered holy by the Catholic Church and the Pope but the Church itself was incredibly corrupt at this time period and honestly? That's kind of bogus in my opinion, even if I am a Catholic.
Nº3: Yes it was an "empire", still had very great dominance over its provinces, even in the wake of Feudalism.
Redditor response but I digress.
