Rant Need help with this boss on Elden Gem

I finally got through the bibisi spade dungeon under /qa/ mansion and beat foreskin noble, but now I got to spadeson and he's kicking my ass. My weapon does nothing to him and he is surrounded by a brimstone puddle that kills me whenever I get close.
I know I should probably just grind and beat it later but I'm running a coal build and I really want to try blackedphemous blade.
