Post about your experiences learning languages, what you're learning, questions, your daily routine, etc etc. Thought a thread like this might have use considering how many people have talked about what languages they're learning in the other boards.

as you all know im a nihonigger and im not actively learning it but i would definitely actively learn it if @Incelson would speak to me in only japanese
ngl looking through a fucking dictionary and making flash cards all day is going to be annoying but honestly being able to memorize important words like "Favourite" and phrases like "as you all know" would be pretty handy. I hate japanese not because it's a bad language but because I have no real reason to use it so if there are any others who want to learn it maybe hit me up in a pm and we can do a japanese only pm challenge where both of us will learn together.

if there are words or phrases you do not understand, use yomi chan, right them down and put them into an anki deck.

Heckin wholesome or something. I'm not really a fan of Anki myself but it's good
I started using Anki a lot in may after I figured out how to use it. I'm using it to grind on my Uni subjects as well. It's goated.
Must suck being an iOS nigger and having to pay 20 dollars for it though lol

I'm not that good at it yet (I started a few weeks ago and I'm still reading the Tae Kim guide) but eventually I might be able to do that.

coally brim reason for learning a language, generally you should have a tangible use for the language you're learning (and especially a use case that you can do NOW) that way you can continue to use it even years after you lose interest in actively learning it. case in point, both of my parents learned german in high school and entirely forgot it by their 50's because they had literally no use for it being that they live in rural america and don't consume media in that language.
in your case, probably the only use case i can think of for japanese is watching tranime without a dub and perhaps activities involving the pestering of chinks online.
for my target language's usecase, its so i can pirate anime off rutracker without using google translatesmugjakeven THOUGH i have never watched any tranimes
