Think about it, if English is your second language it implies you are bilingual, it means you know two languages as opposed to lots of people who only know one language, so is being ESL actually kind of cool?
Of course i am aware that ESL is used among 'jakkers to refer to people who are not good at english, but there are ESL's who also have excellent english.
