Is AMD FX8350 4ghz really that bad?

People say I need to upgrade, but isn't 99% of modern games been basically run by the GPU alone for decades? I mean, they have to port 99% of games to crapbox and gaystation, so they can't go too wild with the min specs.

If I get a 4070, wouldn't I be able to near-max >90% of (modern) games?

You probably won't because you'll be heavily bottlenecked by your 12 year old CPU (and a shitty one at that given that it's a FX) when you try pairing it with something as new as a 4070, maybe you don't need the best new processor out there but you're better off shopping for something at least a few years newer

You probably won't because you'll be heavily bottlenecked by your 12 year old CPU (and a shitty one at that given that it's a FX) when you try pairing it with something as new as a 4070, maybe you don't need the best new processor out there but you're better off shopping for something at least a few years newer
