Really good idea tbh. Maybe it could just be optional, and the only real difference be names (as in like, normie as the anonymous name instead of chud or something like that 4 no accounts)? So like, if the site was being raided, people without accs could be temporarily locked out. It could also remove any reason behind a captcha for just replying n stuff, only for making an acc

Yeah. Though forcing registration after so long isn’t the best way to go about it. Maybe make it optional like Polt said.

bad actors are something you're subjecting yourself to by hosting an imageboard

I’m not talking about the sharty specifically, I’m curious why it hasn’t been implemented in any imageboard. Considering how much restrictions ‘boards like 4chan uses like not even letting you make threads or post without solving a barely tangible captcha.

Imageboards are internet public shitting streets. The whole point of them is that everything is transitive and everyone is anonymous. You can't sanitize it to keep the "bad actors" out or else it defeats the point and it becomes a rulecucked hellhole like 4cuck where jannies remove everything that makes their clitties leak.
If anything, if you really, really want a rulecucked bad-actor free website then you already have this one. Hybridizing the sharty defeats the point of it being an imageboard, hence why I said it was a terrible idea.
